Who we are
We’re a local family business established in 2000. Our primary goal is to help you choose the perfect floor for your home and remain comfortably within your budget. We have a huge selection of in-stock hardwoods and tiles, and our knowledgeable design consultants can help to guide you through the process to ensure you have all the right materials for the job. We also install and deliver merchandise. From start to finish, our team of professionals endeavors to provide you with the highest standard of work.
Dustin
AKA The Wood Whisperer, Handsome Oak
The leader of this funny bunch. He’s the blunt of all the radio jokes and is constantly made fun of by his sister. He is a complete workaholic and eats, sleeps and breaths flooring. They say he can tell the species of a tree by taste alone. He was enrolled in Econ at UBC but once he got an offer to work more hours with less pay from his parents he couldn’t resist.
Patricia
AKA Dustin's mom
The real strength behind the business and the founder of the company. She’s the definition of a real triple threat: business women, mother and wife. Patricia has been running the companies’ books from the beginning and still comes in 6 days a week to check on the business (and more importantly, bring her boy his favourite breakfast).
Irvin
AKA Pops
Irvin is the Patriarch of the Dyck family and has been in the construction and building supply business for over 50 years. Since starting Express Flooring in 2000, he has enjoyed working beside his wife and kids everyday. After so many years of work, he is currently enjoying what he calls “semi retirement” and is down to only 6 days a week at the store.
Teresa
AKA Kit Kat
The newest member to Express Flooring and was quite the steal when she was poached from another company. Teresa has over 10 years experience in kitchen cabinet design and sales. We don’t have a lot of silly things to say about her (besides her fondness of bright shinny objects) cause she’s always so calm, cool and collective.
Dustin
AKA Magic Micheal
The “other” Dustin, our infamous cousin, also goes by Magic Micheal, a name we’re pretty sure he gave himself. He’s always smiling away in the warehouse and ready for all incoming/outgoing orders. Besides being a hard worker and big family man, he brings street cred with his Harley. Just needs the side car so the “Double D’s” can cruise in style.
